Not Good Enough

I let you into my life,

Into my mind, into my heart,

I gave you everything I had,

But that wasn’t enough for you..

I was there when you needed someone to talk to,

I was there when you needed someone to confide in,

I was there when you needed someone the most,

But that wasn’t enough for you..

_

I was there to listen to your problems,

I was there to offer you advice,

I was there to comfort you when you needed it,

But that wasn’t enough for you..

_

And now you pretend like I don’t even exist,

Oh how quickly times change,

You forgot who was there when you needed someone the most,

But that wasn’t enough for you..

_

I was the one there,

I, not anyone else,

I gave you everything I had,

But that wasn’t enough for you..

_

I loved you,

But even that wasn’t enough for you..

_
